Gasoline Cultivator

Choosing the right garden cultivator involves choosing the right combination of size, power, and manageability relative to the size of the area being cultivated and the person who will operate the device. Cultivators can be selected in size from small and light mini cultivators to large and powerful tillers that are able to work with the heaviest soil in large areas. In general, before choosing the right model, you need to determine the size of the area to be cultivated, determine whether it will be necessary to work with virgin land, as well as whether there will be coarse grass or shrubs in the cultivated area. Another important factor is the physical strength of the person who will work with the cultivator. Mini cultivators are better suited for the elderly, whereas working with large tillers will require significant physical strength.

All cultivators can be divided into three large categories: mini cultivators, medium-sized cultivators and large tillers with rear milling cutters.

Mini cultivators, as the name suggests, are small and light. They are ideal for processing small flower beds and for weeding ridges in the garden. Mini cultivators are also great for quickly applying organic fertilizers to previously prepared soil. Since they usually have a capacity of up to three horsepower, it is better to use them on soil that has already been treated before. Such models are not suitable for working with virgin soil.

Medium-sized cultivators have an average output of three to five horsepower. Such models are perfect for processing medium-sized gardens and vegetable gardens. Most cultivators in this category have front-mounted milling cutters, although there are exceptions. More powerful, such cultivators are also suitable for working with virgin land, provided that the cultivated soil is not clay or compacted.

For large areas, for hard packed soil or soil with a large number of plants, a large tillerblock is the best option. As a rule, such tillers have more than six horsepower and a rear milling cutter arrangement, which allows them to cope with any type of soil. However, equipment from this category is usually quite heavy, so it will require a lot of physical strength to operate. Some models of this class allow you to use additional equipment with them (carts, snow blowers, lawn mowers, etc.).

Of course, an important factor in choosing a cultivator is the estimated budget. As you might expect, mini cultivators are the least expensive option, while the largest and most powerful tillers are expensive devices, which cost up to 150,000 rubles. However, in this particular case, more expensive is not always better. First of all, you still need to decide on the necessary functionality and only then choose the model that suits your budget.
